Jane Pauley acquires Anderson Psychiatric Clinic

Herald Bulletin - 1/7/2019

Jan. 07--ANDERSON -- Jane Pauley Community Health Center has acquired the Anderson Psychiatric Clinic. The transition will become effective Jan. 15, according to a news release from the Jane Pauley organization.

Psychologist Dr. John Wenger has owned the psychiatric clinic since 1998, but has been affiliated with the clinic since 1980. Wenger said he wanted to ensure that the mental health services provided by the clinic will continue into the future.

"I have sought potential organizations that share this desire for mental health care to all parts of our community," Wenger said in a news release. "Moving our practice to JPCHC was the best transition to continue serving the Anderson Community."

Choosing the Jane Pauley center will allow mental health professionals to "continue providing a relaxed and professional environment for psychotherapy, Wenger said.

The psychiatric clinic will move from its current location, 431 W. Ninth St., to the Jane Pauley Community Health Center at the Wigwam, 1229 Lincoln St.

"The Jane Pauley Community Health Center is excited to continue the long history of the Anderson Psychiatric Clinic and work alongside Dr. John Wenger and his team continue to provide their patients with the behavioral health care needs," said Marc Hackett, CEO of the Jane Pauley Community Health Center.

The Wigwam facility currently provides behavioral health, pediatrics, and family medicine. It offers a discounted rates for those who are qualified to apply for the sliding fee scale.

An on-site certified Indiana navigator can also assist in applying for any type of medical coverage free of charge. Those services are available to anyone in the community, including those who are already patients of Anderson Psychiatric Clinic.
